****I'm Proud To Be An AMERICAN!!!!

The photographic timetable of events today.....

Goodbye Green Card  : (    I loved that thing.

Hello new U.S Citizen Certificate

Hellooooooooo RED WHITE & BLUE!!!

(one thing, they make you say this real creepy oath.... you swear to renounce allegiance to all other countries, states, princes & potentstates & that you will fight and basically do WHATEVER the U.S. asks you to do..... and the guy running the ceremony kept saying to everyone "are you sure you don't wanna back out now?.... last chance"

He also kept telling us "You know this is your choice, nobody made you choose to do this".... that part was really weird. Then.... I kid you not...they played A MUSIC VIDEO!!!!!! of..... I'm proud to be an American!!! Where at least I know I'm freeeeeeeee....

I was kind of embarassed to be there honestly.. haha.. people were tearing up and waving their little american flags that we got....probably made in taiwan ; )

Anyhow. I guess I'm a naturalized immigrant now.

2 months.

Today it is 2 months since I got married... been busy for far too long.  Every day I have off work I have a list of things I need to get done and I just want a day where I don't have to do anything...

I was real excited to go into the darkroom today to print photos and when I got there the door was locked and the ladies in the office said due to the Florida humidity they weren't able to open the door...it was jammed.  I didn't believe her, but nonetheless....i didn't get to print.  : (

I'm going to my twin nieces 2 year b-day party tonight... I bought them tutus & feather boas & a bowling set, which will most likely turn to weapons with them.

Been raining too much and I can't ride my scoot.. sad. But I DID get to see The Dark Night last night!!!!!!! I worked myself up so hard.. I thought it was going to be so dark and creepy.. & I have nightmares easily... I was a ball of tension the whole movie but it was AMAZING!!! Heath Ledger was such a good Joker it was ridiculous! Christian Bales voice got to me... why does The Batman have to have such a garbly voice? And lets be honest... when Harvey Dent claimed to be The Batman.... why did people believe him? Look at his chin dimple people!!!! The Batman DOES NOT own one of those!

off to lasagna party.

postmaster general

I have been really impressed with the USMail lately.

I shipped out a letter on saturday afternoon from winter park, florida and my friend recieved it monday early afternoon in......san francisco, california!!!!! I didn't think mail people worked on weekends.

Today I am waiting for a shipment from New Jersey that was sent out last night....It's on the Fed-Ex truck to get to me any minute this afternoon!!!! It's amazing!!!

Needless to say I wanted to know more about the mail system after i've been so impressed:
  • Benjamin Franklin was the 1st Postmaster General
  • The Post Office is older than both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
  • Until 1971, The Postmaster General was in the Presidents Cabinet
  • Until 1971, The Postmaster General was in the Presidential line of succession!!!! (the postman could've been the president!!!!)
  • John E. Potter is the current Postmaster General and CEO of the USPostal Service, becoming the 72nd General, sworn in on June 1, 2001.
i like to ride my bicycle to the post office.

u s a U S A USA USA USA USA!!!!!

USA!!!

Tomorrow I am being interviewed to become a United States citizen!!!!

I'm Canadian, but have lived here since I was 3.  I'm sitting in my bed after one of the most stressful days at work I've ever had (i'm a nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, blue lights flash a lot there and defibrillators and stuff.. you know.. like the movies, it's hard to calm down after your brain and body have been under super-stress for 13hrs)...but now I have to sit and wind down and study things like...

1) What is the supreme law of the land?
A: the Constitution

2) The House of Representatives has how many voting members?
A: 435

Come on, I mean, I've lived here since I was 3! It should be good enough for them that I speak english and have a job.  I should wear all red white and blue and speak in a southern accent and change my ringtone to the star spangled banner and maybe they will be so proud of me and not ask me any questions and just let me through!  I mean, in all honestly... i'm not going to be able to answer many of their questions... I mean, I thought Susan B. Anthony sewed our flag...  eep.

I might delete this post after a few hours because I realize I'm not very interesting. To myself and my sister I bet I am... we're 2 little nerdy nurses who work on the same floor and feed off eachothers CODE excitements.

USA USA   U    S    A    U.S.A   USA!!!
